SSI Perfect Buoyancy
Good buoyancy is the foundation of good diving. When it is effortless, you use less air, move with less effort, stay longer at depth and protect the reef around you. Perfect Buoyancy takes skills you already have and refines them into something you can feel the difference in on every subsequent dive.

The Essentials
Perfect Buoyancy — Key Facts
1 day

- Note : Suitable for any diver regardless of experience level
Immediate improvement
What You Get
- Stable, effortless neutral buoyancy at any depth
- Reduced air consumption through breath control
- Improved body position and underwater streamlining
- Zero accidental contact with the reef

What Gets Worked On
Weighting, Breath and Body Position
Most buoyancy problems come from one of three sources: incorrect weighting, poor breath control or an inefficient body position. The course addresses all three systematically. You will start with a proper weight check, work through breathing drills and finish with position exercises that tie everything together on actual reef dives.
- Weight optimisation — finding the minimum weight that works for your gear configuration
- BCD use — when and how to use your BCD versus breath control at depth
- Breathing patterns — slow, controlled cycles as the primary buoyancy tool
- Body trim — horizontal position, fin placement and streamlining underwater
- Fine control — hovering mid-water, maintaining depth during photography stops
