Duration and Structure
- Digital learning : Theory on night and low-visibility diving
- Training dives : Three dives in reduced-light conditions
- Night dive : At least one full night dive included
- Torch techniques : Practised and reviewed after each dive

Prerequisites
- Certification : Open Water Diver or equivalent
- Age : Minimum 10 years
- Equipment : Primary and backup torches provided
After dark
What You Can Do
- Dive safely on any night dive with a buddy
- Use torch signals to communicate underwater
- Navigate back to the exit point without daylight
- Observe nocturnal reef behaviour unavailable by day
Skills and Knowledge
Managing Darkness Underwater
Night diving removes the visual context you normally rely on for orientation and buddy awareness. The course teaches you to replace those cues deliberately — with light signals, contact procedures and a slowed, methodical approach to every movement.
- Torch use — primary illumination, signalling and backup light procedures
- Buddy contact — maintaining awareness of your partner in low visibility
- Navigation — using natural references and compass in reduced light
