SSI React Right
React Right is SSI's comprehensive emergency training programme. In one day you learn how to assess a scene, provide First Aid and CPR, operate an AED and administer emergency oxygen — so you can respond calmly and effectively whether the emergency involves a diver, a guest or a colleague. It is also a mandatory prerequisite for the SSI Divemaster and Instructor Training Course.

Course Content
Six Modules, One Day
React Right is designed to be completed in a single day without feeling rushed. The modular structure means that if you need to focus on specific skills for your role — CPR for resort staff, O₂ Provider for divemasters — we can adapt the programme. Most candidates complete all six modules and leave with genuine confidence in each skill.
- Primary assessment — scene safety, initial victim checks and emergency services activation
- First Aid — wound care, bleeding control, burns, fractures and shock management
- CPR — adult CPR cycles, compression depth and rate, rescue breath technique
- AED — safe defibrillator use, pad placement and integration with CPR cycles
- Oxygen Provider — O₂ delivery for diving-related injuries including DCS and near-drowning
- Emergency management — communication with EMS, incident records and professional handover
